I been fascinated with people’s stories ever since I was a kid. To me websites is just another avenue of telling a story.
The three websites listed are some of the projects I’ve done over the past 8 years starting with the Veterans Memorial Court Alliance. The collection of organizations maintain the memorial wall in Los Angeles that honors the Japanese American service members. This project
required months of work to accurately tell the story of Nisei soldiers and future generations of Japanese ancestry in today’s armed forces.
While Japanese Americans served in the US armed forces during WWII, some of their families were held in camps across the. United States including Poston in Arizona. Poston Preservation is a site managed by the Poston Community Alliance to preserve the history of this WWII incarceration camp.
No darkness would ever settle upon those lamps, as no darkness had settled upon them for hundreds of years. It seemed dreadful that the town should blaze for ever in the same spot; dreadful at least to people going away to adventure upon the sea, and beholding it as a circumscribed mound, eternally burnt, eternally scarred. From the deck of the ship the great city appeared a crouched and cowardly figure, a sedentary miser.
